About Small Angels Rescue, Inc.
Small Angels Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and rats. To fulfill our mission, we use a network of foster homes until they find a forever home.
Our organization was established in 2003 to address the overpopulation of small animals in the Frederick, Maryland area and to relieve some of the burden from the local animal shelters. Since then, we have successfully rescued and rehomed more than 4,000 small animals. Our ultimate goal is to provide small animals the ethical treatment they deserve, no matter their size.
We believe they deserve an exemplary quality of life, through proper habitat, nutrition, enrichment, companionship, and veterinary care. We strive to educate the public on the characteristics of small animals and provide comprehensive care sheets (ADD LINK) to help spread the word.
